Company ORBIS Tour has been founded 27th June 2003 as a classical travel agency with the vision to work in future also as an „incoming travel agency“.

   Skandinavian countries has obtained company´s preference for market and clients, and main intention became publicity and presentation of „Slovakia“ as destination with high tourist landscape potential.

   The best way has become „ fam-trips“ round Slovakia, oraganized for Scandinavian Tour Operators. The purpose was learning the possibilities of spending vacations in Slovakia, mainly for clients from Skandinavian countries.

   In summary, there were 4 fam-trips made and 50 Tour Operators visited Slovakia by this time. Atmosphere and services, they were offered to, are the model for inserting Slovakia to the catalogues of particular agencies in Skandinavia.

   The main organiser was ORBIS Tour company and trips were financed through SACR, Zilina´s Incorporated Region, Banska Bystrica´s Incorportaed Region, Association CR in towns, willages, skiing resorts, Slovakias´s spas, company SKY Europe, aquaparks and subjects of CR in Slovakia.

   ORBIS Tour together with Slovakia Amabassy in Copenhagen and SKY Europe shared the organisation and coordination of the workshop in Copenhagen in May 2006. In July 2007will take place 2nd year of this workshop.

   ORBIS Tour is also external expertise for partners from Slovakia within the frame of EU projects of intention Turist Information centrum in Zilina and publicity of Airport Zilina to the database of local airports in Europe.

   As a result of permanent activity, ORBIS Tour obtained close contacts and made partnership with many subjects in tourist trade in Slovakia and these helped to get many experience for various client´s demands and helped them to fullfil.

   ORBIS Tour got many experience in preparing tours and stays in Slovakia, especially for Skandinavian clients and so, in special way, is considered to be specialized incoming agency for Skandianavian countries

   Nowdays, and also in future ORBIS Tour wants to specialize to this kind of market and continue with publicity of Slovakia for countries from Skandinavia, in preparation and organization particular trips for clients according specific requests and make trips to measure.

   ORBIS Tour cooperate with Danish, Swedish and Norwegian speaking guides and is prepared to fullfil all the requirements of Scandinavian clients.
